We charge a flat rate service fee of $40 for PM (Preventative Maintenance) checks and estimates and a flat rate fee of $80 for technical or mechanical repairs (on portable and mobile radios). Our $40 PM fee includes:

• Battery test and reconditioning
• Diagnostic check of the radio's power output
• Frequency stability and deviation
• Tuning of the radio to meet equipment specifications

If additional repairs are required (including component replacement) the $80 repair fee applies. Radio repairs (including parts and battery replacement) generally do not exceed $125. Any radio repair that exceeds an estimate of $125 will automatically require customer approval before we proceed with the repair. Any repair that estimates lower than $125 will be repaired without approval. If the repair is to exceed $125 and the customer declines the repair, an estimate fee of $40 applies and will be billed.

Our pick-up and delivery policy for radio repairs is as follows:

• For a scheduled or priority pickup only, a single fee of $15 will be charged.
• For scheduled or priority pickup and delivery, a fee of $25 will be charged when a special trip is made for pickup and delivery.
• For unscheduled pickup and return shipment:
  There will be no charge for an unscheduled pickup when we already have personnel in the area. This is for non-urgent pickups and will generally be handled within one week of the customer's request. There is a charge of $7.50 for the return shipment.
